We are honored to welcome you to the 2026 Musculoskeletal Oncology and Sarcoma Symposium (MOSS), co-hosted by the Medical College of Wisconsin and the University of Miami, taking place January 22–23, 2026, in vibrant Miami, Florida.

MOSS 2026 is designed to foster connection, innovation, and collaboration among thought leaders and rising voices across surgical, medical, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and beyond. Our two-day program brings together a diverse and interdisciplinary group of experts to address the latest advances in the multidisciplinary management of sarcomas—both localized and metastatic—and the broader field of musculoskeletal oncology, explored through high-impact lectures, thought-provoking debates, and interactive tumor board case discussions.

At the heart of this symposium is a commitment to elevating patient care through evidence-based practice, multidisciplinary teamwork, and bold innovation. Dr. Meena Bedi

Dr. Meena Bedi is the Vice Chair and Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she has dedicated her career to advancing the field of cancer care. Her passion extends far beyond her medical practice, being deeply rooted in medical education, philanthropy, and fostering collaborative efforts to strengthen teams and programs both locally and nationally. After completing her radiation oncology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she served as Chief Resident, Dr. Bedi went on to become an integral member within the institution and currently serves as Professor in the departments of Radiation Oncology, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Early in her career, she was bestowed the Sharon K. Wadina Endowed Chair in Sarcoma Research, one of the few endowed sarcoma chairs in the United States. Dr. Bedi’s commitment to education and collaborative growth has been evident in her leadership roles, which include serving as the Director of the Sarcoma Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center. As program leader, Dr. Bedi has coordinated patient and healthcare provider symposia to increase the wealth of knowledge in the cancer community, as well as raised over $ 1 million for cancer research through philanthropic events she has chaired for the institution and organizations such as the Sarcoma Foundation of America. In all her roles, Dr. Bedi finds great joy in working across disciplines to improve care and education for patients, their families, and the community.

Gina D’Amato, MD

Gina D’Amato, MD, an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami, where she serves as a Sarcoma Medical Oncologist, Assistant Director of Clinical Research, and Medical Director of the Comprehensive Treatment Unit.

She received her B.S. from University of Miami, M.D. from the University Of Miami School Of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami. In 2003, during her last year of hematology/oncology fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, she began her focus GIST and other sarcomas. In addition to her clinical service, she is involved in clinical trials for GIST and other sarcoma and is a co-director of the oncology pathway in a newly implemented curriculum for the University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine.

Ally Istl, MD, MPH

Ally Istl, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Profess in Surgical Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin specializing in soft tissue sarcoma. She completed her General Surgery residency at Western University in London, Ontario, during which time she also obtained a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in biostatistics and a certificate in surgical outcomes research at the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. She went on to do her Surgical Oncology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and completed an international visiting fellowship in soft tissue sarcoma surgery at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan, Italy. She is an active member of the TransAtlantic Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Working Group (TARPSWG), the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS), the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), and the Association for Academic Surgery (AAS). Her current research focuses on novel approaches to neoadjuvant therapy for retroperitoneal and other soft tissue sarcomas, as well as equity in clinical cancer care provision and surgical education.

Jonathan Trent, MD, PhD

Jonathan Trent, MD, PhD, focuses his clinical, educational, and research efforts on GIST, chondrosarcoma, and other sarcomas. His interests include the clinical and translational research of sarcomas, the direct care of patients with sarcoma, and education about sarcoma and patient-oriented research. As Associate Director for Clinical Research, his goal is to help Sylvester faculty develop clinical trials that provide clinically effective and scientifically exciting therapy to patients with cancer. The major efforts of Dr Trent’s research focus on understanding the mechanisms of action and resistance of imatinib in GIST and other sarcomas while striving toward improved therapeutic options. His work involves the use of novel preoperative/postoperative clinical trials, prospectively acquired tumor tissue, cell lines, and archival tissue.
